Today, Bungie launches the Season of Torment in Destiny 2, where players will face the return of Calus‘ corrupted ship, the Leviathan. Guardians will face Nightmares from the past, as well as the new updated Solar Doctrine 3.0, becoming Reapers and using a scythe. The Season of Torment will run until August 23 
Once a symbol of absolute wealth, the Leviathan returns as a corrupted ruin and attempts to contact the sleeping Pyramid ship on the moon. As a connection to the Pyramid is established, the Nightmares of the past awaken and threaten to torment anyone who stands in their way. The Season of Torment brings new activities and content for all players:
- Nightmare Containment (free for all players): Evil reverberates through the hull of the Emperor’s dilapidated ship. Summon the toughest Nightmares and purify them with fire.
- Breakthrough: Journey through the labyrinthine bowels of the Leviathan, discovering the truth behind Calus‘ sinister plans.
- Solar 3.0 (free for all players): Solar Doctrine is the latest to be completely revamped and enhanced with an ultra-customizable system of aspects and fragments. Ignite the flames of creativity, discover new combinations, and prove that there’s never been a better time to fight with fire.
- Exotic Pistol The Intruder (free to all players): Returning from the original Destiny game, use Shiro-4 ‘s exotic pistol and let the glow of the barrel reflect off the tarnished gilding on the walls of Leviathan. Season Pass holders can unlock this weapon instantly.
- New Season Pass, gear, mods, an enhanced Solstice event and more!
The Season of Torment Argentum Bundle is one of the new additionstoEverversum. It allows Guardians to receive the « Paper Mill » interaction as well as 1700 Argentum (1000 + 700 bonus Argentum) that can be used to purchase season levels, cosmetic items and more. Anyone who owns this year’s expansion will be able to play the new dungeon, as well as the upcoming dungeon in Season 19. For players who only want access to the two Year 5 dungeons, Bungie is also offering the Witch Queen Dungeon Key, available for purchase. It can be obtained in-game for 2000 Argentum. The mysteries of the new dungeon are still being kept under wraps, but some of the rewards you can expect include a new set of legendary armor, legendary weapons, an exotic weapon and its catalyst, and much more.
